Happy (almost) spring, Tigers! #MissouriWeather. Here are a few tips and tricks to help you come out of hibernation and launch into spring.
1. Declutter
Dedicate some time to sort through junk drawers in your room, closet, or dresser! Decide what you need to keep and what can be recycled or donated. There are multiple places around town that will take worn clothes or places to recycle old papers and notebooks.
2. Deep Clean
It’s a known fact that your house or apartment has been collecting dust and dirt all winter. It’s time to get out the broom that’s been sitting in your closet since the fall and put it to use. Clean your floors, windows, and bathrooms. Then,m kick your feet up, light a candle or turn on an oil diffuser, and feel good about a clean space.
3. Get Outside
Warmer weather is (hopefully) right around the corner. Make sure to find some time to get outside. Go for a walk or a run on the MKT trail. Have a picnic at the Columns with a group of friends. Explore downtown coffee shops or local parks to hammock. Soak up the Vitamin D that we have been missing out on all winter long.
4. Eat Healthy & Workout
It’s time to start getting into shape and taking care of your body! Hit up the MizzouRec or jog around Stankowski. Head over to Aldi or Lucky’s and pick up some fresh produce to eat. Taking care of your body is essential to launching forward into the spring season.
5. Take Time to Breathe
School is stressful, and the middle of spring is an extremely busy time. Make sure to allow yourself some time to breathe and de-stress. Start a new book that has been sitting on your bookshelf for months. Have a movie night in with your roommates. Invite some friends over to bake cookies. Your mental health and wellness is a key ingredient to you being successful this spring.
True Tigers, we hope these few tips and tricks allow you to have the best spring yet! It can be a crazy time here at the University, but use these tips to fully embrace all of the new adventures ahead.
