The Perfect Way to Get into the Holiday Spirit

Dorm Room-Friendly Holiday Treats

Between the snow, the sun setting early, and final exams approaching, there’s plenty of reasons to be stressed out. But there’s also plenty of ways you can mitigate this end-of-year anxiety and bring some holiday cheer to your dorm room, no matter what you’re celebrating. Last year, I missed the scent of my mom’s warm homemade snickerdoodles wafting through my home, so I wanted to recreate that warm, joyful smell with easy ingredients from the Mizzou Mart — all from the comfort of either my dorm’s kitchen or my room’s microwave. Without further ado, check out three college student-friendly holiday recipes, all tested by me. These make the perfect accompaniment to essay-writing or a laptop screening of “Elf.”
